Sunflowers Our Pre-Schoolers 3-5 Years

The children follow a more structured daily routine, however, the emphasis is still based around learning through play.   Activities are planned around the six areas of learning recognised by the Early Years Foundation Stage,  Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Literacy Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.  The activities aim to develop the following characteristics for learning to give the children a good grounding before they start school.

Reporting on your child's development

Each child is allocated a key person who will help your child to settle into nursery and monitor your child's progress in all areas of development by compiling an Early Years Profile.  

Your child's Profile is available for parents to view at any time.

The nursery holds a parents' evening to discuss your child's development each academic year.

You will receive a written report on your child's development each year.
