Indoor and Outdoor Nursery Activities

We believe that children learn through their environment with support and encouragement from staff. Children need the opportunity to explore their environment with hands on experience, enabling them to ask questions about how and why things work.

We promote hands on and practical experiences for the children, which incorporates all six areas of learning using the Early Years Foundation Stage.  Activities can be spontaneous, adult led or child initiated which are stimulating, enjoyable, interesting and motivate the children to learn.

Children have access to a variety of toys and equipment both indoors and outdoors such as:

  • computers
  • books
  • imaginative area
  • musical instruments
  • arts & craft materials
  • construction play
  • bikes

Children are encouraged to access toys and equipment freely indoors and outdoors. This is to help children develop their confidence whilst working towards, the principles of the  Early Years Foundation Stage.
