First Aid

  • If the illness/injury is suspected to be life threatening, ring 999 immediately.
  • If there is someone else around get them to ring the Security Control Room on internal extension: 5555 (Calls to this number are recorded for training and quality assurance purposes) and inform them that an ambulance has been called and where the ambulance will be going to, this way we can ensure unimpeded access.
  • If the illness/injury is not life threatening and there are no first aid trained staff around, contact the Security Control Room and request a first aider; we will get one to you as soon as we can.

For more information on Defibrillators, where to located them around the Campuses as well as finding out more about First Aid at work please see the Policies, Procedures & Forms webpage.
