Knowledge Exchange Workshop with delegates from Nigeria

Nigerian delegates visit International AcademyEleven senior executives and curriculum leaders from the College of Education, Minna, Niger State in Nigeria visited the University of Wolverhampton on a week-long training between 22 and 26 February 2016. The training, which was organised by the Centre for African Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CAEL), featured talks, tours and practical sessions across a whole range of disciplines including Building and Construction Technology, Rural Enterprises, Interior Design, Modern Automobile Maintenance, and SMEs Financing, among others.

In addition to undergoing classroom-style sessions anchored by internationally established experts within the university, the training participants also went on a tour of a number of university facilities. At the School of Arts, they explored Illustration and Graphics, Reprographics, Fashion & Textiles, and Glass Blowing. They also went on a tour of the School of Media, where they experienced the Virtual Reality Suite & Motion Capture facilities. At the University’s Faculty of Technology, as well as Telford College of Arts and Science, the delegates looked at welding and fabrication, foundry casting, forging, mechatronics and other aspects of metal work.
