Facilities

One of the first Law Schools in the country to offer the new LLB designed to meet the requirements for qualification as a solicitor – the Solicitors Qualifying Examination – you’ll find our facilities tailored to your studies, including a mock court room where you can practise the art of litigation without fear.

Graduate destinations

Entering the legal profession is just one of the options available to Law graduates. A Law degree and the associated skills you learn open up opportunities across a wide range of sectors. Here are some roles or study our graduates have progressed into.

Barristers give specialist legal advice, advising solicitors and representing people in court, at tribunals and in public inquiries.

Salary: £12,000 to £250,000

Legal secretaries provide administrative support for lawyers and legal executives.

Salary: £18,000 to £45,000

The Legal Practice Course (LPC) aims to prepare you for practice as a trainee solicitor and to provide you with a solid foundation for subsequent practice as a solicitor. 

Paralegals carry out research, prepare legal documents and give legal advice to clients.

Salary: £14,000 to £40,000

 

Human resources (HR) officers hire employees and help develop their careers, and look after employee relations, benefits and welfare.

Salary: £15,000 to £50,000

 

Probation officers supervise people serving community and prison sentences and help them to stay away from crime.

Salary: £22,250 to £40,000

 

Solicitors advise clients about the law and act on their behalf in legal matters.

Salary: £25,000 to £100,000
