The International Fair 2017 was held on Thursday 6th April 2017 10am - 3pm at City Centre Courtyard.

The University of Wolverhampton has once again celebrated diversity and international culture at its annual International Fair. The International Fair 2017 was an opportunity for our overseas students to share their culture, traditions and heritage with fellow peers and staff members.

The fair saw over 25 countries being represented, Afganistan, Brazil, Brunei, Cameroon, Caribbean, China, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Spain, St Lucia, Sudan, The Netherlands, USA and Zimbabwe.

The aim of the event was to give staff and students the opportunity to share their cultures through food, dance and traditions, with activities demonstrating many of the different nationalities that make up the University of Wolverhampton. Activities included international stalls, henna artist, live music, and performances from Bollywood, Bhangra, Flamenco, Chinese, Afro Caribbean and Morris dancers.

Dean of Students, Jon Elsmore said: “The International Fair is a wonderful opportunity for our overseas students to share their culture, traditions and heritage with fellow peers and staff members.

“We celebrate this diversity in a special fun event each year where there is food, drink, music and dancing."
