Jen Evett Massey, Business Development Officer, Conferencing Solutions

Studying at University College Birmingham from the age of 16 Jen learned all aspects of catering and front of house hospitality and continued on to achieve a HND in Hospitality Business Management.

Alongside her studies Jen worked at the Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill and also did a year in industry working for Paramount Hotel chain working at hotels in Cheltenham and Oxford.

Once Jen completed her studies she went on to work as Airline Cabin Crew for 4 years. When Jen left the skies behind, she returned to her hotel roots and began her 8 year career as a Wedding and Events Manager at a Shropshire hotel.

During this time Jen arranged countless weddings and social events and also large outdoor events that took advantage of the hotel grounds. These included annual bonfire and firework displays and also hosting touring outdoor theatre events.

Moving to the University opened up corporate and academic event planning working with companies such as Jaguar Land Rover and Cap Gemini.
