Welcome to the Chancellor's Hall

The Chancellor's Hall is located within the Wulfruna (MA) Building, which is located in the heart of University City campus. The venue is the ideal space to host many events such as awards, dinners, conferences and office of the Vice Chancellors’ annual events.

Newly refurbished, the Chancellor's Hall has a stunning interior style theme of inspiring visitors with a classical heritage. The Chancellor's Hall accommodates for up to 160 people for formal events and up to 254 people for lecture style events, made up of 204 spaces for seating in addition to an extra 50 on the balcony area.

A full refreshments and catering service can be provided in the Chancellor's Hall for your event with adequate notice. For further information please view the dinner menu options below. Please let the Catering Managers know if you have any dietary requirements as menus can be adjusted to support those requirements.

Aside from the lecture room layout shown above, there is also a cabaret layout, for 160 seating using circle tables. These are tables of 8 spaces each. Dinner is selected from the Dinner Menu, presented below.

1. What is the capacity of the Chancellor's Hall? 

The Chancellor's Hall accommodates for up to 160 people for formal events and up to 254 people for lecture style events, made up of 204 spaces for seating in addition to an extra 50 on the balcony area. Different seating arrangements can be tailored for. Please email cityfacilitieshub@wlv.ac.uk for more details.

2. What food options will be made available to choose from? 

We can provide a full refreshments and catering services for your event. Please view our dinner menu above for full details. Please note, we do not allow outside catering on site. Please let the Catering Manager know if you have any dietary requirements as menus can be adjusted to support those requirements.

3. What drinks options will be made available to choose from?

A drinks menu can be arranged with an extensive array of beers, wines and spirits offered.

4. Can decorative features be used for events?

If you require decorations, early access for decorating can be arranged. Please contact us through email cityfacilitieshub@wlv.ac.uk to confirm your needs. Whilst decorations can be used (floor or table mounted), the use of blue-tack and sellotape is restricted due to potential damage to the walls. Please be aware that balloons are not allowed in the Chancellor's Hall.

5. What Audio and Video equipment is available?

The following equipment is located in the hall; A computer running Windows 7 and touch panel, 2 Roving Mics, 2 Lapel Mics, 3 Wired Mics on Stand for the stage. There is a Lectern with monitor, keyboard and screen and CD player with USB Connection. There is no Visual/Display (a projector and screen would need to be hired in).

6. Are there any accommodation available for overnight stays?

The University of Wolverhampton has accommodation available, which is located around a 10 minute walk from the Chancellor's Hall. There is some en-suite accommodation which is bookable via City Accommodation Hub. Please contact the Accommodation Hub team for further support.
