Your room details

You will be allocated a single occupancy en-suite bedroom for your stay at the Telford Innovation Campus.

What is included in my stay?

You will be provided with towels and a basic toiletry pack in your room on arrival. Your room will be serviced and bed linen/towels changed for stays longer than 3 nights only. The cleaning staff are on site Monday to Friday each morning for assistance (excludes Bank Holidays and Christmas week). For any queries with your room please ask at reception in The Angad Paul building (SA) or use your mobile to call 01902 323900.

There is a refreshment tray in your room and if you require additional tea bags/coffee or sugar please ask at reception. You are usually provided with enough sachets for the duration of your stay, they are not replenished each day.

Do you have an iron and ironing board?

There is a shared ironing board and iron within each block, in a small cupboard in the corridor. If you cannot find these please ask at reception. Please sign for these at reception and return them the same day/evening.

Do you have a hairdryer?

We have a small supply of spare hairdryers if you forget to bring your own. Please sign for these at reception and return them the same day/evening.

Are there any local amenities?

Across the main car park at the rear of the University there is a co-op shop, chemist and cash point. There are other local amenities nearby such as supermarkets, please ask the reception staff who will be able to direct you.

Is there internet access?

You can log on the Internet free of charge, if you would like a password they are available from reception in the Angad Paul building (SA). Sometimes the service is disrupted due to poor connections, this service cannot be guaranteed. If you have connection problems try logging on in the GOdeli café.

Where can I purchase refreshments?

There are various options for meals and drinks during your stay. GOdeli café located by reception is open Monday to Friday (excludes Bank Holidays) for light snacks and drinks, opening times vary. There are vending machines for food and drinks in Go Deli which is open all the time.

Across the main car park at the rear of the University there is a co-op shop, chemist and cash point. The reception staff can direct you where to walk. Alternatively it’s a 20 minute walk into the Telford Town Shopping complex itself or book a taxi.

There are two pubs/restaurants immediately by the University, the Red Lion Pub and the Flaming Grill in Priorslee. Otherwise you could try eating out in Shifnal, Ironbridge or slightly further afield is Shrewsbury.

Where do I go if I need help when I’m there?

For anything please in the first instance either use your mobile to call reception on 01902 323900 or go to the Angad Paul building (SA Telford Campus) where you checked-in. The staff will do their best to help you or advise you who to contact.

Is there anything to do in the area?

There is lots to see and do in and around Telford, including a huge shopping complex called the Telford Town Centre, an outdoor park, bowling centre, ice rink, and many pubs and restaurants. Telford is the home of the International Centre where thousands of people visit for exhibitions and trade shows each year. Visit local market towns Shrewsbury and Ludlow for memorable days out. There is a Freephone taxi service located by reception in the Angad Paul building (SA) and many tourist leaflets.

Telford is named after Thomas Telford the renowned civil engineer, Telford's gleaming buildings and hi tech businesses mark it out as a town for the future. One of the UK's fastest growing and most successful new towns - it contrasts with its historic neighbour, Ironbridge. The world's first iron bridge spanning the River Severn. Birth place of the industrial revolution, Ironbridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with The Ironbridge Gorge ten award winning museums.

Do I need to do anything on departure?

On your departure day can you please hand your keys and cards in to reception by 10.00am at the latest. Unfortunately, we have to charge you if you do not check-out on time or if you fail to return your room keys and card. Early check-outs are fine.

Please note all buildings are non-smoking areas, including your bedroom. There are smoking areas outdoors for you to use to ensure we comply with UK Legislation. Please ask at reception if you need advice.
