Musical Theatre Audition Submissions

Once you have applied for one of our undergraduate Musical Theatre* courses and have been shortlisted, you will be asked to provide a digital audition. This material is an opportunity to show us who you are, your musical ability and your potential.  

Hints and Tips in what we expect of your BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Audition material 

  • Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission.  
  • Submit no more than 3 digital files only to include recordings of a vocal solo, a monologue and a solo or ensemble dance. 
  • You will be assessed upon elements such as working with energy and confidence, communicate your passion for your chosen subject and to Perform well, whilst maintaining an awareness of character 

Hints and Tips in what we expect of your BA (Hons) Drama and Musical Theatre Audition material 

  • Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission.  
  • Submit no more than 2 digital files only to include recordings of a vocal solo and a monologue. 
  • Ensure the monologue is no longer than 1 minute and a half, ideally just 1 minute.  
  • You will be assessed upon elements such as working with energy and confidence and communicate your passion for your chosen subject. 

All audition material must be submitted to FABSSapplicant@wlv.ac.uk by the given deadline given in the audition brief e-mail from AdmissionsYou can send it via suggested file sharing platforms such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, DropboxSound CloudYouTube etc.
