Music Technology Recording Submissions
Once you have applied for one of our undergraduate Music Technology* courses and have been shortlisted, you will be asked to provide a recording (with audition for the joint degree). This material is an opportunity to show us who you are, your practical ability and your potential.
Hints and Tips in what we expect of your BA (Hons) Music Technology/Sound Production (Top-Up) Recording
- Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission.
- Submit no more than 2 digital files only to include demonstrations of recording with microphones and sequencing.
- Ensure no recordings are too long.
- You will be assessed upon elements such as your ability to record live audio sources in a studio or other environment and to produce sequenced work using software

- Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission.
- Submit no more than 3 digital files only to include demonstrations of recording live music with microphones and your own performance ability.
- You will be assessed upon elements such as your ability to demonstrate your skill as a performer, record live audio sources in a studio or other environment, produce sequenced work using software and communicate your passion for music.
All audition material must be submitted to FABSSapplicant@wlv.ac.uk by the given deadline given in the audition brief e-mail from Admissions. You can send it via suggested file sharing platforms such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, Sound Cloud, YouTube etc.
