Acting and Drama Audition Submissions

Once you have applied for our undergraduate Acting or Drama degree courses and have been shortlisted, you will be asked to provide a digital audition. Your audition is an opportunity to show us who you are, your acting ability and your potential.  

Hints and Tips in what we expect of your ACTING Audition 

  • Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission. 
  • Submit 2 files only for both the audition speeches and your thoughts on the questions provided to you. 
  • In the first recording ensure your audition speeches are of 2 minutes each. 
  • You will be assessed upon elements such as choice of appropriate monologues and your understanding of the play texts, quality of performance skills in voice and physicality, ability to articulate answers clearly etc.

  • Read the audition brief sent to you by admissions carefully to ensure you understand what is required of the submission. 
  • Submit 2 files only for both the audition speech and your thoughts on the questions provided to you. 
  • In the first recording ensure your audition speech is of 1 minute each. 
  • You will be assessed upon elements such as choice of appropriate monologue and your understanding of the play texts, quality of performance skills in voice and physicality, ability to articulate answers clearly etc. 

Submission 

All audition material must be submitted to FABSSapplicant@wlv.ac.uk by the given deadline given in the audition brief e-mail from Admissions. You can send it via suggested file sharing platforms such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, DropboxSound CloudYouTube etc.
