Evening Ceremony 4.00pm By 8pm

Graduation photography will take place at Grand Station, immediately after you have collected your gown.

Please arrive in plenty of time to collect your gown and have photos taken.

The decision to allow latecomers to be presented will be entirely at the discretion of the Faculty Student Records Co-ordinator whose decision is final.

If you are accepted as a late arrival, you will be given a card detailing your name and award, which you must keep safe. You will be presented at the end of the students awards and must stay seated in the place that you are directed to by the student centre staff, until you are asked to make your way to the front of the auditorium.

Please remember this is an official ceremony being filmed and streamed over the internet and we do not want young children to disturb the enjoyment of others. Children under the age of 5 years will not be allowed to attend the ceremony. All children, 5 years of age and over will require a ticket to admitted to the ceremony.

You will NOT be presented for your award unless you are wearing academic robes. You may order your robes following the link below:

http://www.gownhire.co.uk

Your transcripts will be sent out with your results letter a few weeks after your award has been conferred. The will be sent out from your Faculty.

Tickets for guests will be given to students when they arrive at Grand Station to register.

Digital photos that are taken of each finalist as they are presented with their award on stage may be purchased online.

You will have until 8.00pm on the last day of ceremonies to return your gown to the marquee at the venue. If it is kept after that time then you will need to contact Ede and Ravenscroft direct regarding their returns policy / additional charges (as the contract is between you and the gowning company not the university). The university WILL NOT return on your behalf.

Each ceremony lasts approximately 1 ½ hours.

Guests should arrive in good time. At least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony with a valid ticket. Guests arriving once the ceremony is underway may NOT be permitted to enter the auditorium until a suitable break in the proceedings. They may also be asked to occupy alternative seats so other guests are not disturbed.

If you can no longer attend the ceremony but still want the certificate, you will have the option to request your certificate through e:Vision. (you can do this via the graduation page on e:Vision after the ceremonies have taken place).

All certificates for people requesting through e:Vision will then start to be sent out after all the ceremonies have taken place - so students should receive their certificate within 4 weeks of the ceremony.

Yes, students must provide information on their guests needs (e.g. BLS interpreter, wheelchair users) when the guest tickets are purchased. If information has not been provided you must contact the university as soon as possible via e:Vision helpdesk.
