Jennifer Charlson is qualified as a Chartered Engineer and Solicitor with an MBA. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Architecture and Built Environment School at the University of Wolverhampton. 

She is a Joint Co-ordinator of the CIB (International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction)  W113 Law and Dispute Resolution Working Commission and a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Institution of Civil Engineers’ international journal: Management Procurement and Law.

Before moving into academia, Jennifer worked as a Senior Solicitor for Carillion plc having qualified as a solicitor in private practice.  She previously worked for the BBC as a Projects Engineer.  Her first degree is in Engineering Science from Oxford University. 

Jennifer is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Higher Education Academy. She specialises in researching and lecturing on construction and engineering law.
