About us
The Knowledge Exchange is a new development that aims to provide a location for a variety of Continuing Professional Development, Short Courses, Bespoke Course Design and Consultancy at the University of Wolverhampton.
We currently offer courses in Mentoring (PCE), Post Graduate CPD (MA education), English Literature (PCE), Impact Evaluation, Theories of Change and Agile Project Management methods and Problem-based learning.
Help with planning your course
If you need to run your idea through, we can help to support its development. The business development team will assist with the business planning using lean canvas, costing of provision and marketing of courses. It will also assure the quality by suggesting a particular format prior to delivery and handle post-delivery customer satisfaction feedback.

Access and participation planning: Developing a theory of change
This interactive webinar aims to explore the development of a theory of change relevant to your area of work that addresses aspects of the Access and Participation Plan. Participants will understand how to develop a theory of change, complete an outline logic model to support change towards the APP and consider an evaluation method of possible impacts.

Meet the team
Dr Karl Royle is the Head of Enterprise, Innovation, Knowledge Transfer in the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing where he uses lean and agile approaches to project management, portfolio and business ideation and development. Karl is an agile practitioner with expertise in teacher education and post-digital learning design. He has experience of project direction using agile methods and research design and direction. He is particularly interested in problem and challenge-based learning, the mechanics of self-organisation, all things agile, organisational change and Capability and Actor Network Theory.
Dr Sean Starr is the Head of Academic Business & Workforce Development in the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing. He is a senior lecturer in Education and Continuing Professional Development for schools. Prior to joining the university, he was a school improvement adviser for a local authority within the west midlands.
