Encouragement and insight to make your creative career a reality!
The creative industries span advertising and marketing, animation, arts and culture, crafts, computer games, design, fashion, film, social media, textiles, TV, video, photography and more.
They generate £21.2bn in turnover every year, and people employ over 2 million in the UK. The creative industries are an important part of the West Midlands too providing around 50,000 jobs, and generating over £4 billion “gross value added”.
The industries are exciting, vibrant and developing all the time, providing huge societal benefit, and creating new jobs in response to new technology and ideas.
Creative career pathways can be quite unique. A great way to understand the opportunities available and how to start you career is to hear from people working in creative fields.
ArtsFest Online is joining up with Creative Futures on a series of career talks where creatives will share insider knowledge on forging a career pathway within the arts.
The talks are led by professionals working in the creative industries, many Wolverhampton graduates. Join us to hear about their career journeys so far, the challenges they have faced and how they made it happen. You will get the chance to hear from people from a wide range of roles, from self-employed designers/ artists to those working in large organisations and there will be a Q&A which is a great opportunity to have your queries answered by those working in the field.
Our talks take place on Wednesday's at 2pm and are free to attend.
