Creative Futures and Artsfest Online are pleased to present the next instalment in our series of talks where creatives will share insider knowledge on forging a career pathway within the arts.
In her talk, glass artist Naomi Jacques will offer insight into what running a creative practice is like, the way she balances lots of different work projects and roles at the same time as being a mum, and the importance of being determined and flexible.
Naomi has faced lots of challenges in her career and emphasises the importance of belonging to a good network. For Naomi this has meant being actively part of the Contemporary Glass Society and the Society of Designer Craftsmen which she can tell us more about.
Graduating in 2016 from Applied Arts at Wolverhampton, Naomi’s creative practice involves making bespoke glass sculptures for commissions and installations. She combines this with running glass workshops in the community as well as in schools and colleges.
