Multifactor authentication (MFA) is recognised as one of the most effective tools to add that extra layer of protection to online activities, both professionally and personally. The University will be widening the scope of MFA for our staff and students, to include more services, applications and systems within this authentication protection.

This will also include the University network and student/teaching PCs, which means that when on campus, staff and students will need to carry their MFA phone with them as they sign into and use on-campus PCs.

We will be widening the use of MFA towards the end of May, to avoid the exam period.
