In accordance with section 1(1)(a) of the FOI Act, I can confirm that the University does hold the requested information, which is available at this time, in full and I have decided to disclose the requested information, which is available at this time, in full.
The outstanding requested information pertaining to Question 11 will be provided at a later date, but within the original due date for compliance.

Average network speeds are not monitored on our network. In most areas, wired and wireless connections can run at up to 100Mb/s symmetric. The total bandwidth on our Interconnection is 10Gb/s symmetric.
Question 4
All teaching and social areas are covered by wireless.

We have not switched providers between those dates.

Our network does not use FTTC (commonly termed “fibre broadband”). However, all buildings are interconnected by fibre optic links.

No halls of residence require use of wired Ethernet.

All halls of residence permit use of both wired and wireless connections.

The University Data Retention Policy/Schedule covers the destruction of expired data.
