Support from Business Engagement at the University reflects emerging technological advancements; utilising innovative technology, in-house expertise and equipment from the innovation 1^st project, which assists small organisations to explore business opportunities through enhanced technology.

Business support workshops focus on everything from advanced drone technology to the business benefits of online marketing and social media, in our mission to make sure your business is ahead of the trend.

SPEED

The SPEED project, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is a business start-up project offering individuals support to start their business. Support packages are offered via specialist workshops, match-funded grants and business consultancy. We help students and graduates from ANY subject area to have the opportunity to develop their idea into a business to run alongside their studies, after graduation or alongside employment in a supportive environment. An additional support package is offered to existing small to medium-sized enterprises, also known as SMEs.

The bespoke business development workshops cover core business acumen such as Marketing, Finance and other key elements.  You will also have the opportunity to attend additional workshops at the Business Solutions Centre, Wolverhampton. SPEED also offers opportunities to network and connect with like-minded people within Shropshire.
