Media Stores

The MK Media Stores is a fantastic facility providing free access to equipment for a variety of courses offered throughout the MK Building, within the Faculty of Arts.

The Store runs on a digital e-booking system making it easy for all users to book equipment as and when they require it.

Digital Media equipment

• Video cameras ranging from Sony HVR-Z5E to Flip Ultra HD devices
• DSLR cameras ranging from Canon 600D to Fuji Finepix S6500FD
• Video related equipment including Jib/Cranes, Track & Dolly, Pro tripods, Cam top lights, Monitors, Wide Angle Lenses and Reflectors
• Microphone kits including Radio, Rifle, Lapel, Instrument and Vocal Red Head and Arri lighting kits
• Marantz solid state audio recording kits
• Wacom & Intuos graphics tablets 
• PC, Xbox360, PS3, Wii – Games and peripherals
• Other items including Light boxes, Hard drives, Data Projectors, Laptops, Keyboards, 4 Channel mixers, Stereo Amps and Speakers

Photographic equipment

• Digital Medium Format cameras including: Hasselblad H3DII, LEAF Aptus & Valeo
• Nikon Digital SLRs: D300 & D90s 
• Hasselblad 501 & Mamiya 645 medium format film cameras with a range lenses
• Horseman (Studio) & Wista (Field) Large format cameras
• Mamiya RZ67 Camera
• Nikon FM2 & FM3a 35mm SLR cameras with a range lenses
• Portable Lighting kits and a variety of flash units
• Everything for the darkroom including Contact Printers, Focus Finders and Multigrade Filters.

Opening times

Monday to Friday:

• 9:15am – 10:30am
• 11:00am – 12:30am
• 1:45pm – 3:00pm
• 3:30pm – 4:45pm
