Fine Art at Wolverhampton is a predominately studio based course. As a Fine art student your will have a dedicated studio space in a purpose built environment.

The Fine Art studios are open for you to work in 5 days a week from 8.30 am – 8.00pm
Studio facilities includes:
The current studio provision is carefully designed to support students working across the broad spectrum of contemporary fine art practice and has provision for:
- large sculpture and 3d construction
- painting and drawing
- installation and print
- photography and film.
Other specialist equipment includes:
Fine Art students also have access to a wide range of specialist workshops that support the whole of the school of Art including:
- Traditional and digital print studios
- wood,metal and plastic workshops,
- digital, photographic and moving image suites
- a working stone yard and foundry with a bronze casting facility.
A specialist team of technicians support students working in these facilities by providing the opportunity to observe and learn new skills, sourcing specialist materials, and working alongside students to help them make and exhibit their individual projects to a high professional standard.

In Addition
We have a specialist in-house digital printing service – the Print Support Hub. Alongside a Media Store with dedicated kit for all Wolverhampton School of Art students. We even have our own Art Materials Shop, which stocks an extensive range of art materials.
Print Support Hub
The Print Support Hub is a technically supported, open access area. It offers all School of Art students a range of specialist printers that are capable of printing onto a vast array of different materials.
Including:
- A3 Risograph printer
- 2 medium format high-end Epson printers (A4, A3, A3+ and A2)
- Large format thermal lithographic printer
- Large Format Mimaki textile printer
- Large Format Mimaki textile printer
The room also offers two large format scanners that will scan artwork up to A0 size.
Media Stores
The Media Stores is a fantastic facility providing free access to equipment for a variety of courses throughout the Wolverhampton School of Art. Including specialist photographic and digital media equipment.
Art Materials Shop
The Wolverhampton School of Art's art materials shop stocks an extensive range of art materials, including paints, brushes, sketchbooks, portfolios, and much more.
