Title of Piece: PRAXIS Dental Simulator

Statement:

The PRAXIS takes inspiration from VR-based training solutions currently available and solves immersion problems currently encountered in this area. It is ergonomic and mimic real objects as closely as possible to establish muscle memory skills in students. The product is as cost effective as possible, a key issue with the implementation of VR-based training solutions in the industry.

All technical details of the standardised components as well as the original ones have been modelled along with added additional design features such as a twist lock feature for the heads, over moulded grips for the outer casing and a spring-loaded haptic feedback element in order to make the product as functional as possible.

My final design is an effective solution for the current gap in the market for a VR training system that allows for freedom of movement while providing all necessary feedback needed for better and faster learning.

My Experience:

Some of my favourite moments from my time at University were the Design Week trips around Europe, in particular Milan and Eindhoven; these gave me invaluable experiences and great memories and I hope to keep attending in the future.

My plans after University are to begin my career within the product, graphic or packaging design fields to continue developing my skill set and turning my passion and creativity into reality.
