As interior designer, the slow decorating is the main point of my design strategy. To think carefully about planning, considering, and refining, mean the most successful design is to take care and approach the problem like gardening. To guarantee my work always includes sophistication and passion in every step of the process.

Going somewhere on your holiday? is it a long journey to get there? Don’t worry, we are introducing this new relaxing and enjoyable experience which will be worthy of your time while you travel to your dream destination. For luxurious, family friendly and romantic travelling what better journey than wasting one more day on your holiday than waking up to your destination, the sleeper train! Let's get to know more about this sleeper train, when it all started, why we need it, and how we did it.

Firstly, this sleeper train started by two companies, that are based in UK called Caledonian Sleeper. Prices start at £300 for 5 nights. For the luxury Belmond Royal Scotsman, prices start at £3,200 for 5 nights. During industrialisation many build track for train, and the long journey that many people would enjoy within the train was forgotten. So to take this concept and make it a reality, a train that allows people to travel overnight, sleepover and then wake up to their destination. Since then, there have been many commercial sleeper trains, but none so popular among people as the space and the constant movement of the train make it hard for people to find it enjoyable to relax and stay calm.

I would like to revisit this sleeper train, and redesign interior that would make it feel like staying in a 5-star hotel, stay for one night, and yes, arrive at the holiday destination. I will be incorporating social distancing such as a paperless ticket, fingerprint, face scan etc. Within the train compartment, available space is limited and very expensive. Therefore, to maximize all the space available and utilise it by introducing new smart technology such as touch screen on the window, embedded LCD screen and built-in storage cabinet etc. This would allow a customer to enjoy their stay and also experience new first-class technology, along with an amazing view of the scenery.

In terms of interior design, the train compartment has very limited space; obviously, so the design will be geared towards simple detail, therefore I would like to incorporate minimalist space that would normally be seen in a large hotel. However inside the train it will seem much different. A touch of modern farmhouse and Hollywood glam style that makes it a more interesting look and cosy. The level of design and cost will depend on the class assigned to it. There will be 3 different classes, Eco, First and Family Class. Each class will be design-based on the most cost-effective budget within the price of ticket sold.

A travel map will be provided to showcase what and when each important landmark the customer will be able to see and at what time of the day whilst they are traveling on the train. Optional audio introducing each landmark will be available during their stay. Each class will be shown on the interior compartment, its design purpose, and functionality with a blueprint/floor plan and actual dimensions.
