"My passion is both the education and entertainment of young children. This course has helped me realise that my writing is by far my greatest strength, which I plan to make full use of from now on. Through the medium of my endearing 'Rainbowbelly Gang' characters and their poetic storybook tales, I want to help teach children about mental health and inspire positive mental health practices to help them as they grow up."

I personally believe that art is one of the greatest mediums through which messages can be conveyed and lessons can be learned, regardless of who's taking them in. One such topic that I believe art can tactfully approach and convey in an educational sense, is that of mental health. This is a topic that's close to my heart, given I am on the autistic spectrum and haven't always had the best time processing things of that nature growing up. Mental health isn't something younger children in particular are often taught about, at least not in what I think is sufficient depth. Young kids can still be taught about such things in a way they can understand though, and that's where I hope I can help bring the lesson to an audience who may not otherwise get taught about it as much.

Art can be inspirational even in its simplest forms. Any art, from any creator, in any medium. Inspiration, education and entertainment are factors that need not ever be separate from one another; I think it's not only possible to achieve such things together, but each factor becomes all the more potently memorable for having the others to back it up. Entertaining works tend to be the most memorable, and can themselves carry inspiring messages or lessons from which one can learn. It's my opinion that when art commits to embodying both inspiration, education and entertainment all in one place, it ascends to a new level of meaningfulness. To that end, my primary aim with my own work is both to educate and entertain, in a way that can inspire more thought on the lessons I want to teach to my audience.
