"A creative and expressive individual with a profound interest and admiration for design."
A creative and expressive individual with a profound interest and admiration for design. Throughout my education, art and creative subjects have been my strongest and most enjoyable areas of study, and something I embraced and practiced in my spare time. After studying art and design for five years, I realised that visual communication was the most important discipline I learned and progressed into higher education to study graphic design. During my studies my passion for branding has developed and made my creative approaches to design stronger. I am inspired by creative points of view from other designers, but also brands, packaging, creative marketing, and having visual resources all combined. Working with typography, branding, and packaging has enabled me to further my understanding and develop my skills whilst being in an area of study that I love the most! There are many ways in which I try to approach design solutions, from rough ideas, sketches, note taking to then building on a concept. I aim to build from broad ideas and then rationally adapt my thought process into a final design. Just breaking down my ideas, finding inspiration, and working towards design synthesis has improved my design understanding and enabled me to develop my personal design process and style. My interest in design continues to grow, and I aspire to be part of a creative team working on creative branding and packaging within the design industry. I am constantly learning and hope to grow my skills in a professional studio environment, perusing a meaningful career in the creative industries and making an impact on the world. The graphic design course at Wolverhampton has been a great and memorable experience overall. I had always really enjoyed our creative sessions, learning new skills and just being in our studio environment. Most importantly are the lecturers themselves, who over the past three years showed consistent support and guidance and always pushed me to keep reaching my best potential as a designer.
