Kieran Willetts I’m a motivated, creative graphic design graduating student from the University of Wolverhampton. I am passionate about editorial, typography and branding. I was born and raised in Wolverhampton and come from a fairly non–creative family, apart from my dad. His main hobby is photography, mainly the subject of everyday life; he sees the beauty in everyday things, and I think that has played a major part in who I am today. When I was about twelve years old, I discovered Adobe Photoshop and this is where my graphic design journey started. Slowly I started showing friends and family my work and before I knew it, I was designing YouTube channel art for upcoming broadcasters, which is where I developed my passion for branding. I would like to work for a small independent design studio, as I feel it would be beneficial to have a direct input into the creative process. This would be help to build my experience and gain confidence in a commercial setting. The best aspects of the graphics course at Wolverhampton are the many opportunities that have been provided; from live briefs to talks from industry professionals, lectures, and work with real clients. The course staff are amazing: they’re helpful, understanding and most of all genuine, good people who only want the best for their students.
