"Jatinder - artist, writer, animator and editor, who enrolled on the Illustration BA(Hons) course as a mature student. He enjoys making use of the facilities (Print and IT services) as well as making full use of extracurricular print club, life drawing classes both live and virtually, work with fellow students (pop-up shops) as well as taking advantage of any trips offered by the university. He received a letter of commendation for his innovative submission to UoW Eleanor Smith competition. Jatinder has collaborated with a professional writer and produced comic strips for American and British publishers. His ambition is to self-publish."

I am an artist, writer, animator and editor, who has contributed to the student magazine and small press projects in the 1980’s. After a long spell away, I rekindled my love of art and around 2010 started producing comic strips working with others including James Hudnall who has written stories for Marvel and DC comics. The comic strips have covered a range of genres which include historic, war and biographies. Original personal narratives which I have written as well as drawn and have become a big part of my output. Some of these have been published by American and English publishers. I have also produced some editorial and fan art. When not working on stories, I am involved in the art community challenging myself with Inktober and producing art for charities. I am a keen comic convention goer often exhibiting my work for sale at conventions in Birmingham, Nottingham, Bedford and other places. In 2018 I decided to quit working and embark on a full time BA (Hons) in Illustration, at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating in 2021. While at the University I have made full use of the opportunities afforded to me to explore my interest in print making, digital and animation art, constantly experimenting and expanding my practice. I am a keen printmaker, who has also attended numerous print club sessions, life drawing classes both in person and virtually. To support my practice, I am inspired by both classical artists such as William Blake as well as comic artists like Gil Kane. I enjoy traveling to places of artistic interest both in England and abroad (Manchester, London, Paris and Berlin). Future projects: I now seek to launch ARTOFJSG online with a view to online publishing through Drivethrucomics.com and Amazon. I am developing comics and artwork for selling at conventions, comic outlets and online.
