Emily-Jo Frank

"Emily-Jo is a Midlands based non-binary creator. They attended Telford College for Art & Design and won both end of year exhibitions for their animations. Emily started out using traditional mediums such as watercolours but now mostly makes use of digital mediums. They love all things cute and strive to paint the world brighter."

Llamadrillo/ Chipp/ EJ Frank inspired by anime and cartoons, I create character-oriented illustrations and occasionally animation. Along with this I'm working on developing a story for my characters to make comics. Obsessed with cute things, one of my biggest goals is to surround myself with bright colours and magical elements and share the joy they bring to others. I mainly work digitally but do enjoy traditional mediums such as painting, sculpting and sewing. The overarching theme through my work is the bright colours and making it look like decora. For more narrative based works, the themes I like to tackle largely revolve around the characters they contain, how they exist, live and interact with each other.
