Deveton Boakye

"A brand specialist with a design obsession, aiming to impact the design world through creative expression."

Creativity is not deeply embedded in my family, but understanding and respecting design all around me is something I learnt to embrace. My interest in graphic design emerged at an early age, developing brand ideas and logos for my YouTube channel, and this has grown during my time in higher education to learn and appreciate the topic I enjoy so much. Graphic design is about communicating visually. As a designer, collecting visual stimulus from my environment and immersing myself in the work of others influences my approaches to project solutions. It helps me produce great creative designs that will hopefully impact the lives of others. I have a passion for branding, especially within the sports and leisure industry, which stems from my obsession with trainers! Incorporating my interests and creative life drives me to succeed within the design industry. Being part of a design team for huge brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Reebok is a goal that focuses my determination to be the best version of my creative self. The graphic design course at Wolverhampton has given me great experiences, and the three-year journey has been incredible. Being part of the course has given me the opportunity to work alongside other creatives and learn from lecturers to enhance my design skills to be the designer I am today.
