English Language Support and Access (ELSA)

During Welcome Week, our new University of Wolverhampton international students will be invited to take the English Language Support and Access (ELSA) programme.

The ELSA is made up of a few interesting exercises and will take less than an hour to complete. To try the two exercises, please follow this link: https://www.wlv-elsa.online

Taking the ELSA will help you understand which areas of English language use you should focus on, in order to improve your academic writing and grades.  It also helps academic coaches to give you exactly the support you need.

You will be sent an email explaining more about the ELSA and an invitation to take it the week before Welcome Week. You will have about a month to complete it but we encourage you to do it as soon as possible.

If you have a University of Wolverhampton IT account, you can find a range of online English language resources in our open (free) Canvas course Academic English Language Skills.  The ELSA is designed to direct you to which of these resources would be most useful to you.
