About The Turing Scheme

If you are interested in working in another country, the Turing Scheme is a great opportunity for you.

The Turing programme is for education, training, youth and sport. The funding enables the University of Wolverhampton to provide financial support for current students or recent graduates to access a work placement within a chosen destinations.

The funding can be used to cover things like flights, accommodation and subsistence (dependent on the placement).

We currently have several contacts within Europe and are looking to develop further destinations.

We are considering applicants from a range of subject areas for placements in a number of European destinations. Our aim is to see you placed  in a role that reflects your degree studies or key area of interest, giving you a fantastic opportunity to get that essential experience and get ahead in today's competitive job's market.

You can carry out a Turing  traineeship (work placement), for a minimum of 1 month up to a maximum of 10 months. This could be as a sandwich year which is encouraged for many courses, a summer placement while you are studying or to gain some experience as a recent graduate.

Carrying out a study period or a traineeship abroad is a huge boost to your self-confidence and your CV. You’ll acquire a broader range of skills to offer a future employer, helping you to succeed in an increasingly competitive international marketplace and you’ll have great fun doing it!

To be eligible for this programme you must be a current University of Wolverhampton student or recent graduate (up to 12 months post-graduation) and hold a valid passport.

To register an interest in the scheme please send your CV to theworkplace@wlv.ac.uk

Include Turing Scheme in the subject and tell us which placement(s) you are interested in.

Alternatively, if our opportunities do not meet your needs, you can source your own placement and still access Turing funding to support you.
