No experience is required but you must have a genuine interest in teaching and be a native English speaker. This would be perfect if you want to gain experience prior to starting a career in teaching or to add international experience to your CV.

The length of placements can vary from one semester to two semesters (5-10 months), but that depends on the university you are placed with. The same applies for the wage/salary as it’s covered by the Chinese University; it usually varies from ¥3,000 (around £300) to ¥4,000 (around £400) per month.

The University of Wolverhampton will support you through the application process: including the Chinese Visa application process and TEFL course (which are needed for the job role).

Successful candidates will be employed via a Chinese University where you will teach English to students.

The Chinese University will cover the costs for:

• Flights
• Accommodation
• Transfers

You must hold a valid UK/EU passport and have graduated from the University of Wolverhampton.
