“I have both enjoyed and benefited from my time at the University of Wolverhampton. Socially the campus is great, and with most of the people on the Walsall campus enrolled on similar degrees there is a real sense of closeness to those around you. Playing sports with people from all walks of life is rewarding and of course without the University’s help and advice I’d never be enjoying a career as satisfying as teaching.”

“I gained invaluable experience from my work placement with a local high school to teach Physical Education, and it also gave me an insight into what I want to do for my career."

“As well as giving me an insight into many sports subjects, the course is helping me with my mental and physical approach to games. I am learning a lot about the body and how it adapts and it’s great to see this from the academic perspective.”

''Physical Education develops you holistically and it’s not only about the practical side but when we get in the sports hall we develop our theoretical knowledge and we put it in practice across all domains. We get to dance and do gymnastics which is really exciting for me as I have not practiced these before. Also participating in a variety of activities such as badminton, basketball, football and athletics really aids us to develop in a more holistic way. It is really fun because we are all here to learn and every time we learn something new, which can either be a new way of teaching or a new activity to teach.'' Erhan Ali, student
