Wolverhampton City Learning Region

The City of Wolverhampton is a member city of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities and is building a learning city through the Wolverhampton City Learning Region (WCLR) initiative.

Wolverhampton City Learning Region promotes and celebrates learning throughout life (lifelong learning) for all. There are a wide range of organisations working in partnership to place learning at the heart of the city to tackle social and economic challenges using education and learning as the focus.

Celebrating International Day of Education 

 

Wolverhampton City Learning Region joined learning cities across the world to celebrate International Day of Education on 24 January 2021.  

The former Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Claire Darke, shared a video message of support to celebrate the International Day of Education and profile how learning and education are vital to the city’s recovery following the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
