Oluwatobi (Tobi) was elected as the Vice President Academic Officer at the University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union. He is a member of Board of Trustees University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union.
He was born in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Jos, Nigeria and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Twentieth Century Britain. He has has a great interest in politics, particularly the impact of globalization on developing economies.
Oluwatobi is proficient in areas such as citizens and welfare state, nationalism and politics, popular consumerism in Britain, Youth Subculture and national identity in post-war Britain, prisons and penal reforms in 20th century England & Wales.
He is currently evaluating the impact of British penal experience on the penal laws and prisons of the former colony of Nigeria. He is passionate about structural changes in the penal code and prisons in Nigeria.
Oluwatobi has a special interest in football, both as a player and a coach.
