Jim Oatridge is an experienced director in the public, private and third sectors with knowledge of local government, the water industry and health, utility regulation and charity governance. He has an economics degree from Warwick University, is a qualified accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.

Jim has a number of non-executive directorships on boards including in the health sector at Wolverhampton Clinical Commissioning Group and GPS Solihull, as well as holding (or held) national appointments at the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).  He has experience of regulation, having served six years on the board of the Utility Regulator in NI, and currently remains the independent chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the board. 

Jim was a director at Severn Trent plc for more than 15 years until 2005 and was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List 2003 for services to the UK and global water industries. He was awarded Membership of the Order of Outstanding Contributors to Sustainable Development by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 2004 and became a liveryman at the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators, and a freeman of the City of London in 2008.
